An Arall DC-3 lost height and crash landed after an engine failure

An Arall Aerolineas Llaneras Douglas DC-3, registered HK-2663 and performing a flight between Puerto Rico and Villavicencio, was climbing with 3 crew onboard when one of the engines (R-1830) failed. The aircraft lost height, the crew tried an emergency landing outside the airfield, but crashed and burst into flames. The crew was evacuated: 2 received injuries and were hospitalized. 
Colombia’s Aviation Civil reported that the DC-3 plunged to the ground after a few minutes after takeoff at 06:25L (11:25Z).

 Colombian media reported the airplane was carrying 14 passenger, information discredited later.
