VietJet has placed a firm order with Boeing for 100 B737 KAX 200 aircraft. The jets will be delivered between 2019 and 2023 and will support the LCC’s domestic market and international growth plans.

The Vietnamese president, Tran Dai Quand, and his American counterpart, Barack Obama, have witnessed VietJet’s president and CEO, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, and Boeing Commercial Airplanes president and CEO, Ray Conner, signing the formal agreement in Hanoi.

The B737 MAX 200, ordered by Ryanair for the first time, is a variant of the B737 MAX 8 capable of accommodating up to 200 seats.
