Biman Bangladesh studying the Malaysian B747 for Hajj charters

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has started talks with Malaysia Airlines over the proposed use of its active B747-400 for the upcoming Hajj season, starting in late August.

Biman Chairman, Air Marshal Enamul Bari, told the Dhaka Tribune that Bangladesh’s flag carrier has carried out an ispection of 9M-MPP (msn 29900) with a view to using it for Hajj charter.

The aircraft, which has been mothballed in the past, was recently reactivated to cover some of the Kuala Lumpur-London flights as the Malaysian carrier’s six A380s undergo heavy maintenance.
