Swiss has converted five of its twenty CS100 firm orders into larger CS300s, the airline CEO, Thomas Kluhr, has announced.
The original order was placed in 2009 and consisted of thirty CS100s.
This conversion now brings the order to 15 CS300s and 15 CS100s. The carrier also has the options to upgrade five more CS100s into CS300s and a decision will be taken soon, Kluhr said.
Swiss will take delivery of the world’s first CS100 later this month and will make its debut on July 15 on flights from Zurich to Paris. On the other hand, the larger CS300 is due for delivery to launch operator AirBaltic in September this year.
