Swiss has taken delivery of its first CS100 ahead of the type’s global debut this month.
As the CSeries launch operator, Swiss is using the aircraft of this type to replace its fleet of sixteen ARJ-100s, all lease from its Swiss Global Air Lines unit.
The first CS100, HB-JBA (cn 50010), is scheduled to enter service with Swiss on July 15 with its maiden commercial flight scheduled to be Zurich-Paris CDG. After that, the aircraft will be deployed on other regional European routes, such as: Warsaw Chopin, Brussels National, Nice, Stuttgart Echterdingen, Hanoi, Milan Malpensa, Florence Peretola and Bucharest Otopeni in due course.
The Lufthansa subsidiary has fifteen CS100s and fifteen CS300s on order from Bombardier.
