The carrier said in a statement that since August 18 until September 7, the return sector to Dubai has incorporated a technical stop in Accra, Ghana to allow the operating plane to take on additional fuel.

Airlines serving Nigeria have been facing difficulties obtaining aviation fuel owing to a shortage of US dollars on the official market. Despite being Africa’s largest exporter of petroleum products, Nigeria has to import refined Jer A1 from neighboring countries owing to the dilapidated state of its infrastructure.
