Duxford Air Show “Meet the Fighters” 2016

On September 10th, I visited Imperial War Museum (IWM) Duxford in Cambridgeshire for the Annual “Meet the Fighters” Airshow! All Photos are mine, taken with a Canon EOS700D

In Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the formation of RAF Fighter Command, the Airshow highlights Duxford’s role as a Wartime Fighter Station and looks at how the Nation has been defended from Air Attack, Showcasing the Vital Importance of Fighters to Winning Control of the Largest Battlefront on Earth.

A massed Spitfires Formation was meant to take place on both days, comprised of twelve Supermarine Spitfires, including four rare Mark I Spitfires. However, due to Bad Weather on my Visit, the Flypast and Displays of most Aircraft were cancelled! Below are some Pictures of the Aircraft that either flew or performed Taxi Runs.
