Saudia to retire 777-200ER fleet by the end of 2017

Saudi Arabian Airlines has announced in a statement that they will be retiring its fleet of 23 B777-200ERs by the end of its fleet, as part of its fleet modernization program.

Five of the aircraft will be phased out this year, while he remaining eighteen will be retired during the course of 2017.

Saudia will continue to operate its fleet of 25 B777-300ERs and four B777-Fs.
