Rossiya to acquire up to twenty SuperJets

Rossiya will replace some of its A319s with SSJ 100-95s, its parent firm, the Aeroflot Group, has revealed.

In an Investor’s Day prospectus, the Russian carrier group says it will place twenty SuperJets in Rossiya between this year and the following five, while at the same time it will be retiring fifteen older A319s.

One of the first jets to arrive will be RA-89037 (MSN 95077), a new-build hull on lease from VEB-Leasing and still has to be delivered.

The move is part of an Aeroflot Group policy to increase the proportion of Russian-built aircraft operating across its four subsidiaries.
