Luxembourg-based Cargolux has added weekly flights to Oslo-Gardermoen Airport. The first flight arrived yesterday (Nov 1st) and will operate every Tuesday. Flight C85022 will arrive from New York JFK and continue to Luxembourg.
Their modern Boeing 747-8s will be used to transport freight from Oslo and on to the airline’s other destinations, especially products with large demand like fresh Norwegian salmon.
“We are very happy to introduce Oslo to our network,” says Niek van der Weide, Cargolux EVP Sales & Marketing.
“The response from our customers has been phenomenal and we appreciate the way they welcome us in Norway. The firm support of our clients shows that our personal attention and dedication to the needs of our partners in the market is noted and appreciated.”
“The seafood industry requires more direct capacity to the most important markets in Asia and the US. We are continuously working to facilitate more direct capacity from Oslo Airport and through Cargolux, the seafood industry will have access to yet another desirable network to the most important overseas markets,” says Avinor Manager Cargo Development, Martin Langaas.
