Ryanair launches 38 new routes in a week

Europe’s largest airline Ryanair has launched 38 new routes from multiple bases during the past week, starting 23 new routes on 1 November, five on 2 November, six on 3 November and four on 4 November.

The average city pair length of the new sectors was 1,700 kilometres, with the shortest being the Hamburg to Brussels service at 480 kilometres, and the longest being the 3,988-kilometre route between Oslo Torp and Gran Canaria.

Only 13 of the 38 routes will see the carrier encounter head-to-head competition, with the fiercest in terms of competing weekly frequencies being on the Madrid to Toulouse sector, where Iberia offers 32 weekly frequencies.
