The aircraft, formerly LN-NOO with Norwegian, has been leased from Air Lease Corporation on a twenty-five month contract.

The move comes as the Caymanian carrier will have to wait for the fourth quarter of 2018 for the delivery of the first of the four B737 MAX 8s it will lease from ALC.

All the four B737 MAXs will be delivered by the third quarter of 2020.

Cayman Airways is using the new jets to replace its existing fleet of four B737-300s which will be gone by 2020.
