XiamenAir takes delivery of their first 787-9

China Southern Airlines subsidiary, XiamenAir, has taken delivery of their first of six stretched 787-9 Dreamliners. The airline currently operates an all-Boeing fleet, including six 787-8s. The airline held a special ceremony at Boeing’s Dreamliner plant in Charleston to celebrate the arrival of their new aircraft.

After familiarization and crew-training flights, the airplane will be deployed on flights between Fuzhou and New York in February 2017.
