Russian military plane crashes into black sea with 92 onboard


This morning, a Russian military plane enroute to Syria disappeared over the black sea. The airplane was carrying 92 passengers, many of which were musicians for the Alexandrov military choir, along with journalists, dancers and other people for a new year concert which was supposed to be held for the troops in Syria. The airplane crashed into the sea shortly after take-off from Sochi.

The accident is currently being investigated, and has stated that a terrorist act is unlikely. 84 passengers and 8 crew were onboard the TU-154. The airplane had originated in Moscow and has stopped at Sochi airport enroute to Latakia in Syria.

The likeliness of any survivors are very low, and no life rafts have been found.
