Travel Service orders five more B737 MAX 8s

Travel Service Airlines has finalized an order with Boeing for five more B737 MAX 8s, adding to the three which were already ordered during the 2013 Paris Air Show.

“We are pleased to add more 737 MAXs to our original order and we look forward to receiving the first one to become the first airline to operate the 737 MAX in this region,” Roman Vik, Chief Executive Officer – Travel Service, said.

As part of its plans to operate forty B737 MAX 8s by 2025, the Czech ACMI/charter specialist will also be leasing eighteen additional aircraft from various lessors including AerCap (ten), GECAS (six), and Air Lease Corporation (two). Deliveries will commence from 2018 onwards.
