Cathay Pacific has announced that they will launch a new four-weekly seasonal service to their second Spanish destination, Barcelona. Flights to the capital, Madrid, were started last June. The new route will be operated with their new A350s, and will be the only airline flying between the city pair.
Flights will depart Hong Kong on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and arrive in Barcelona in the early morning before an afternoon departure, which will arrive back in Hong Kong in the morning the following day.
“Barcelona is a great city for its tourism and rich culture that attracts visitors from around the world. We’re excited to offer the first-ever direct link between Hong Kong and Barcelona, which follows the launch of our Madrid service last year.” said Cathay CEO Ivan Chu.
“This new summer service reflects our commitment to grow the Cathay Pacific network and offer customers more choice. This further strengthens Hong Kong’s status as one of the world’s most important aviation hubs.”
The route will commence July 2nd later this year and operate until October 27th. Schedule from airlineroute:
