On the 11th of June, El Al has held a ceremony to present the interiors of its new Boeing 787 aircrafts.
The aircraft will feature 32 seats in Business class in a 1-2-1 configuration, guaranteeing direct aisle access to all Business passengers. The central seats can be separated through a sliding divider.
Business seats will be Recaro’s CL6710, which provide a lie-flat seat 198cm/78” long. They will all be equipped with USB and power sockets and IFE is provided by Panasonic with a 16” touch screen.
Premium Economy class
Premium Economy class will feature 28 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration; each seat will have its own IFE 13” screen. The seats’ legroom will be 96cm/38”, width will be 48cm/19” and each seat will have its own USB and power sockets.
Economy class will feature 222 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration; each seat’s legroom will be 78cm/31”. Each seat will have a 12” IFE screen provided by Panasonic and personal USB and power sockets.
El Al will deploy its 787s on its London service, but as soon as it takes delivery of more it will start dispatching them on its Newark service. The brand new aircraft are set to replace the airline’s aging 747-400 fleet.
