Malaysia Airlines to dispatch A380s to Seoul and Tokyo

Malaysia Airlines has announced it will be deploying its A380s on its Seoul and Tokyo services to meet an expected demand surge during Q3 of this year.

In its 1Q17 report, the Malaysian flag carrier said the services would be on an ad-hoc basis, with the other A380s continuing to serve the airline’s 2x daily service to London Heathrow.

However, because of runway restrictions at the carrier’s hub in Kuala Lumpur, flights to Jeddah won’t be operated by A380s anymore, but by A330-300s.

In the same financial report, Malaysia Airlines has also confirmed that the first of the 25 B737 MAX8s it has on order from Boeing will be delivered during 4Q19.
