Iberia orders 20 A320neo aircraft as part of fleet renewal

IAG International Airlines Group, have announced an order for 20 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, to be delivered to Spanish flag carrier Iberia as part of a fleet renewal program.

Speaking at a press conference on June 28th, Iberia Chairman and CEO Luis Gallego provided details of the order, which entails 17 A320neos and three A321neos. Deliveries are set to run from the first half of 2018 through to 2021.

The narrowbody jets will replace Iberia’s existing fleet of A320ceo jets, which includes sixteen A319-100s, thirteen A320-200s, and twelve A321-200s.
